Limestone Hill has been farmed by the Bradfield family for three generations. Since being named Conservation Farm of the Year (1988) at the Bathurst Show, our simple philosophy has crystallised into a powerful driving force.
In every aspect of our farming enterprise, we aim to contribute to making the world a healthier place.
Our expanded landholding has given us the chance to diversify beyond the pineapple and dairy farming so predominant in our district. We have added beef and game and begun limited production on organic pineapple, rose geranium and assorted organic vegetables. We are also making our own organic compost for our organic crops at 1 000 cubic metres per annum. By using fewer chemicals, insecticides etc. we are doing our bit towards preserving a little goodness in the world.
And for our workers, who are so deeply engaged in every step of the process, we are busy implementing staff upliftment programmes. Those who show potential are promoted to management positions – giving them the opportunity to grow and harvest the fruits of their labour.
We look forward to the future!
